So many scientific flaws in this video! YOU need to get your science right if you are going to point out the scientific flaws of movies...
Transformers, for example... The hand didn't just reach out and stop, as is the scientific principle behind 'death from gravity', it's about deceleration (or, if you want to get technical, negative acceleration), so instead of doing that and killing him as you stated, he slowed his fall to a stop... Actually, come to think of it, IT'S THE EXACT SAME THING SUPERMAN DID! He sped to reach her, then gradually slowed her descent to a stop, thus preventing death... Both can clearly, and disturbingly obviously be seen, so I'm super disturbed by your confusion and inability to observe reality...
    Another stupid on your part...
The microwave 'issue' from the core (the general stupidity of that film notwithstanding)... The microwaves (if as stated in the film) would most certainly do EXACTLY what the Tucc (yes, the Tucc) says it would... Have you never seen what a microwave does to anything containing water, hell, even ceramics get cooked... So again, your science is scientifically inaccurate, not the film...
Finally... OF COURSE THERE COULDN'T BE A VOLCANO BENEATH L.A.!!! Volcanoes are superficial structures... However, it is a known fact that L.A. Is comfortably nestled right over a fault line, you know, the breaks in the earth that cause earthquakes when they scrape together, and if you recall from 4th grade science class, there is magma beneath the surface of the earth in the mantle, and given that magma turns into lava when it reaches the surface... Well... Yeah, magma flowing from the mantle could, and does, indeed happen!!!
So I trust that you'll stop being dumb about science, claiming others have made mistakes they didn't actually make!
The saddest, most pathetic part about this, is that there are far *FAR* more egregious acts of scientific illiteracy, not only in other films, but IN THE FILMS YOU CITED! Why did you pick the non scientifically inaccurate things to claim are inaccurate instead of *choosing actual errors*?!?! Lame. Thumbs down. Pisadointed... Oops... I meant pisadointed... Oh, wait... I spelled that correctly, because I'm stupid and can't figure out what an error is!

Actually, to accelerate to the speed of light would require infinite amount of energy because mass increases as you are being accelerated. Only objects that have no mass can travel at that speed.

I don't watch sci fi movies to check and see if they are "scientifically correct" FFS... I watch to be entertained and see the great CGI effects. The stupid acting and line scripting pisses me off more than any scientific wrong. In reality ALL these movies are technically wrong, but who gives a shit?? They are entertainment, not a factual documentary.

In Red Planet, Tom Sizemore is supposed to be Earth's greatest geneticist ... because that's a thing. And an atheist because scientists always are according to movies.
Well, imagine my surprise when Tom Sizemore named A, C, G, and P as the building blocks of DNA. P is not a nucleotide. He meant T. Now I get that Hollywood sometimes changes things, but I learned the 4 DNA nucleotides in 5th grade. Seriously, Red Planet. The building blocks of your science are W, T, and F.

you must live a pretty lame and boring life if you watch these sort of films for history or scientific knowledge, whether or not some of it is even possible, its a movie not a documentary and as such its days/weeks/months/years of filming/creating zapped into 1-4 hours of view time, so of course things that should take light years will be sped up, the films are good and entertaining and using the imagination of the creators, nothing more.... watchmojo ranks up the subs with stupid videos.

    This is a trash list.
Jurassic Park's science isn't near as far fetched as other films. It's more realistic than you give it credit.
Transformers human ragdoll thing isn't even science, you're just shitting on a movie you hate. BTW Optimus hand's fall down and slow down his fall so guess what he wouldn't die because his hand moves down and slowly stops when he falls in it.
Superman's ending is based on vague physics ideas. Are you just going to shit on any movie that utilizes theoretical physics??
Weird Science. Of course it's unrealistic!!! It's an 80s comedy!!! It's never meant to be realistic.
    Nothing infuriates steven hawking anymore.
Ok seriously! Sound in space in star wars? That's your biggest complaint! Whatabout all the other films set in space that have sound in space like Apollo 13, The Martian?

I think Volcano should have been #1 instead of being an honourable mention (and weird science knocked off the list entirely, as that is a spoof film, not meant to be serious). I mean not only is a volcano not feasible under LA, but the whole mechanics of the film were just painful. (especially a disaster planner going 'what is that?' when looking at the volcano or needing an explanation of what lava is. I mean the twinned film dante's peak, did the whole volcano threat much much better (even though there were quite a few inaccuracies in that one too)

The Transformers and Superman catching a falling person... Have a friend go up to the 2nd or 3rd story of a building and toss down some eggs for you to catch. If that egg hits the ground, it splatters. But if you catch it right, it remains unharmed. Same principle here.
Sure, if Sups flew up to catch her with his arms as rigid as steel, she will suffer multiple fractures and likely die from the impact. But if he catches her right, she would be just fine... well ... maybe a little bruised

I am more saddened by serious movies that make a mistake. For example, in Apollo 13, they correct for the "delta v " by aiming straight at the Earth. It makes for a good science discussion in high school physics but this is like falling towards Niagara Falls and swimming for it rather than the shore!!!!
